Storming the Castle

Heyyyyyy, guys!  I know you were all super worried about me in my sad state of declining health.

To sum it up, if this were the Oregon Trail I would be dead.

I was initially diagnosed with bronchitis, but after days of taking antibiotics with no relief I went back to the hospital and had a chest x-ray, where it was determined that I actually had pnemoina.  The silver lining to all this misery was the ten pounds I lost in the second week of my antibiotic cleanse.  However, after three days of having my appetite back I've managed to gain it all back.  What. A. Waste.

And then the unthinkable happened.  Just as I was starting to feel better, Spouse got sick.  I don't even know what to do when he's sick because it so rarely happens.  I just pat his back and slowly retreat from the room every time we came in contact. And don't give me that look, because when I'm sick I'm pathetic, but when he's sick he's furious.  He basically views illness as a form of personal weakness, so while it's acceptable for me to be sick (I am but a tiny, fragile woman), it's unacceptable for him.

Saturday we couldn't take being in this house anymore.  The boys were going bananas and even though neither of us felt 100%, we decided to try an afternoon out.  We went to the Shurijo Castle, which is mostly an outdoor destination, since much of the inside is undergoing restoration.  It was chilly and overcast, but beautiful nonetheless.

Oh yes, we were those Americans.
